Fidelity Investments Data Breach Settlement 2026 — Claim Up to $5,000 If Your Financial Data Was Exposed

Fidelity Investments has agreed to pay $2.5 million to settle a class action settlement 2026 lawsuit alleging the company failed to protect customers’ sensitive financial information in a data breach that occurred in August 2024. If Fidelity notified you that your financial account or routing numbers were compromised, you may be eligible to claim up to $5,000.

What Happened?

Between August 17 and August 19, 2024, unauthorized parties accessed Fidelity’s systems and obtained customers’ financial account numbers and routing numbers. The lawsuit alleged Fidelity did not have adequate cybersecurity measures in place to prevent the breach.

Who Qualifies?

You are eligible if you received a data breach notification letter from Fidelity stating that your financial account number and/or routing number was compromised in the August 2024 breach.

How Much Can You Claim?

  • Up to $5,000 for documented monetary losses caused by the breach (with receipts or documentation)
  • A $100 cash payment with no documentation required
  • An additional $50 for California residents
